FRÉDÉRICK FONTAINE, FOUNDER & MASTER WATCHMAKER
Frédérick Fontaine 's passion for watchmaking was revealed very early on, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and artisanal know-how acquired over the years.
After scientific studies and a Brevet des Métiers d'Art in watchmaking , he perfected his skills with a Parisian master watchmaker approved by the biggest brands such as Rolex and Jaeger-LeCoultre . His career then took him to England, where he collaborated with the Swatch Group , developing in-depth expertise in coaxial movements and chronographs .
In 2018 , he founded L'Atelier des Tocantes , with the ambition of offering a high-end watchmaking service in Paris.
CONSTANT EVOLUTION
2018
Launch of the adventure for the Atelier des Tocantes.
2020
Arrival of a polishing expert, enriching our range of services.
2021
A second qualified watchmaker joins the team.
2022
Moving to a larger space, still in the 17th arrondissement, to better accommodate our customers.
2024
The Workshop now has 4 watchmakers, 1 polisher, 1 photographer and 1 management assistant, all dedicated to their passion for watchmaking and excellent service.
2025
Creation of the Showroom: An intimate space where our customers are welcomed by appointment to discover our models and chat with our experts.
The workshop continues to expand with 6 watchmakers, a polisher, an assistant manager, a showroom manager and 2 mascots
